Shady, cool, and quiet

I went outside to sit and ponder, I like to think outdoors. Shady, cool and quiet, like beneath a tall oak tree. Like a foggy beach, calm and serene. That's what I expected to find. A place to inspire my thoughts and let my mind wander. And that is not what I found. Sitting in a plastic chair listening to the gargle of the pool filter, under the shade of a gazebo. My thoughts are still flowing but now they are dreaming of a magical place, a place that machinery and concrete know not of. A place where the grass is always over grown, soft, cool and green. A place where trees are abundant with juicy fruit and long branches which children may climb. This place has deep mysterious pools, crisp, clean and blue. There are bright colored flowers, always in bloom to bring smiles to faces. Jars of ice cold lemonade just waiting for parched throats to gulp. Sounds of birds, and laughter. A place where adventures are waiting to be had. A place to sit and ponder.
